WHAT TYPES OF CHATS ARE THERE? TEXT CHAT: Text anyone, ichat window opens and select people who you want to chat with. Double click someones name to talk to. VIDEO CHAT: Talk to anyone face to face. Hear and see their faces while chatting. AUDIO CHAT: Talk to anyone by listening to their voice without face to face contact.
STEP 1: Go down to the bottom of your mac book and look for the ichat symbol. The symbol is blue and has a picture of a speaker. STEP 2: If you do not have an ichat account click 'get an ichat account' to sign up for a free one. After you have made your account your username will end in '@mac.com' and then you type a password in. STEP 3: Once everything is set the ichat will open and show you the buddy list window. While you are still on ichat your account will appear at the top of your screen which should show you are available and are ready to chat! Other ichatters that have added you to their buddy list can then talk and view your name and status in their computer window.
